GARIEP BIRD CLUB

The Gariep Bird Club is Based in Kimberley, in the Northern Cape Province, South Africa and aims to bring birders (novices and experts) together to share in the wonderful birds of the Northern Cape, with a focus on the birdlife in and around greater Kimberley. The club is involved with bird projects such as SABAP2 (Second Southern African Bird AtlasProject) and CWAC (Coordinated Waterbird Counts) and has close ties with Rooifontein, a local wild life farm located just outside of Kimberley. The club also has numerous avid bird photographers and botanical experts, so there are always opportunities to learn from other members.
